Obituary of Betty J. Fell
Toulon – Betty J. Fell, 83, of Toulon died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Methodist Medical Center.
She was born August 15, 1928, the daughter of Frank and Elsie Pearl Roberts Gerard. She married Dale K. Fell on August 13, 1950, in Toulon. He died on April 7, 1986.
Surviving are two daughters, Connie Jacobson of Toulon and Debbie Duncan of West Jersey; three grandchildren, Jerod Wagher of Toulon, Jodie (Jason) Klein of Kewanee, and Jamie (Randy) Mullinix of West Jersey; two great-grandchildren, Jayce and Jayden Klein of Kewanee; four sisters, Arlene Ingle, Shirley Frail, Audrey (Jerry) Stapel, and Helen (Al) Simmons, all of Toulon; and one brother, John (Donna) Gerard of Toulon. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank (Shirley) Gerard Jr. and Rodney (Nola) Gerard.
Betty worked at Les’s Cafe and Connie’s Country Kitchen, where she enjoyed all the people and was known for her wonderful pies. She was a 4-H leader for many years in West Jersey and was a member of the women’s auxiliary of the American Legion in Toulon. Betty enjoyed going to the cattle shows with her granddaughter Jamie. She bowled for many years and loved going to the gambling boat. Betty was a wonderful caregiver to her brother-in-law Donnie Fell for many years. The most important things in her life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a member of West Jersey Methodist Church.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at the Toulon Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Wier will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Toulon Cemetery.
